My Digital Artefact (DA) Aquilah Productions has become a major part of bachelor and communications degree whether it was a part of an assessment or not, I have been developing it since I was in high school for a way for me to express my creativity and passion for photography and videography while adding to my professional portfolio.

Content is the trigger of customer interaction (Rahal, 2021).

Methodology

As for my methodology is to look at past for guidance, I’m going to revamp my posting schedule and brainstorm new ideas for different content to post within my chosen social medias with the idea to meeting new clients and building a more professional portfolio.

Daily, photos content to both my Instagram and Facebook feed using relevant hashtags to succeed with the algorithm and achieve growth.

l has also created daily Instagram stories based off the daily photo to promote audience retention and promote engagement and well as gain feedback of my work.

I have also been thinking of ways to be creative from home as shooting outside is against covid 19 restrictions. I am going have a go at creating Instagram reels based on popular trends that I notice and see where that take the growth of the account.

Users

This concept is relevant too similar or liked minded people like myself and to people who are interest in exploring and adventuring or have an interest in photography and videography. This da has also developed my personal portfolio and has allowed me to reach out to companies in search for paid work.

Audience

The target audience of my project includes fans of adventure, travel, photography and videography, typically aged between 18-24. While it’s mainly male dominated (55%), I do consider my content to appeal to both genders.

Process

Through creating and uploading this adventure content daily for the last two months, l have notice a gradual increase of audience retention and engagement through an increase of likes, total impressions as well as a slow increase in followers on all three media outlets.

For Instagram I have gained 40 followers since the beginning of the project, As for Facebook I have mange to gain 30 page likes and for YouTube 10 subscribers.

From here my plan is to create a website using square space and open an online print store and target Facebook ads towards the baby boomer generation for a source of income and reinvest into more Facebook and Instagram ads for continue growth of my adventure content. I also plan to be a more active user on Instagram with more commenting on others posts.

  1. I really appreciate the content you’ve been making as a videographer myself! I think it’s been great seeing you experiment regularly with content and the platforms that you are using. One thing I think I noticed is that on the topic of the audience while you do share your insights on Instagram It feels like there could be so much potential in knowing who those people are in more depth. One of the things I have really benefited from in previous digital artifacts is creating a community group for my digital artifact on Facebook or group chats on Instagram. This could help you sharpen your audience down to people who just appreciate your content to even moving towards a space where you gather like-minded creatives or people who want to learn from you which in turn could create a way in which you could share your knowledge, information and experience to people even in a monetized way. Not only this but I think this can create rapid feedback loops as it’s asking your audience to take that extra step to be on the inner circle those who actually join that circle will want to not only receive content and updates before everyone else does you could ask for their thoughts and reflections on your content and the direction of your channels which will heavily increase your feedback loops and sharpening of who your audience is and what they care about. It’s been great seeing you grow as a creator despite lockdown brother and I hope to continue seeing this all the way up to your final project hand-in!
