Aquilah Productions has become a major part of my Bachelor and Communications degree, whether it be part of an assessment or not have continued developing it since I was in high school for a way for me to express my creativity and my professional portfolio.

‘Brands’ notoriously have difficulty retaining interest over time (Preece et al. 2018, p. 331). And, this is especially true for niche accounts like mine and is integral that I must continue to adapt to the continuous paradigm shifts in modern media in order to stay relevant in the current media climate.

    Firstly, considering how high quality your content is, I would encourage you to incorporate this into your video next time. Use the Beta video as an opportunity to show your account while reflecting on it as a brand. When I say accounts, I would suggest emphasise on your Instagram and YouTube, as these demonstrate your brands a lot stronger than Facebook (I could image you know that already).

    Also, remember to include a reference list of what you paraphrased and quoted in your contextual essay and video as I wanted to look into what sources you were researching. It is good that you are considering your branding and reflecting on how this will affect the longevity of your digital artefact. The most important thing to remember when undergoing any kind of digital marketing is knowing your audience and catering to them by giving them what they want. Considering your objectives are to gain following and engagement from “likeminded people” I would recommend you research buyer personas. Buyer personas are “semi-fictional representations of your ideal customers”, developing these personas will allow you to begin to understand who your ideal audience is, what they like and where you can find them in order to draw them to your brand.     Your digital artefact has a strong business focus as your objective is to have your audience engage with your brand. As we know, businesses are only as strong as their goals. Considering that, I’d recommend you research Bell’s three futures: the possible, the probable and the preferable. When developing your DA, ask yourself: where do I preferably want Aquilah Productions to be in 5 years’ time? Where will it probably be? By comparing these two futures, you can pinpoint what is in your power/control and influence your brands future using this knowledge.     I remember when you started your digital artefact in first year, and I am so happy that you are continuing with the same idea, it is amazing how you have built your digital artefact up and learn new skills to incorporate within your digital artefact since your first year of uni. Your digital artist is very strong and business focus. The idea of revamping your positing schedule to attract new clients is very smart, I also agree when you stated that you are wanting to create new and different content for your new follows and already existing clients. As an aspiring photographer and videographer myself, I will try and give you some words of wisdom, make sure each of your posts on Instagram or YouTube are engaging and interesting, make sure you have a caption that links to your post, as when your viewers read the caption they will either choose whether they want to stay interested or not in your posts.

    By using the social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook will allow your digital artefact to gain new and potential clients, however I would also consider creating a Youtube account as you can post different types of contents, such as videos or montages to link both your content on Instagram and facebook. This will also allow for a larger audience for your digital artefact.

    It can be quite difficult incorporating different kinds of digital marketing with your particular digital affect, however due to previous lectures and readings, you should make note on being able to understand your audience and who you are creating content for and why you are creating the content.     It is a great idea that your digital artefacts main objective is to allow your audience is to stay engaged with your brand of Aquilah Productions. I would also recommend looking into different business online, especially on Instagram to be able to create your own theme and keep up to date with new trends and ideas. Good job!!
