“The personal and social consequences of any medium – that is, of any extension of ourselves – results from the new scale that is introduced into our affairs by each extension of ourselves, or by any new technology”

Marshall McLuhanin

This week’s lecture was centred around exploring the economic differences between traditional legacy media and the internet paradigm.

I made gifs, videos and tweets that focus on creating and uploading a meme with zero cost, and reaping the benefits of this Emergent Media Economical Model. Gifs, videos and memes have a low risk of failure, unlike the Legacy Media Model – corporately used – which is filtered based on cost. The video and gifs I made provide comical value to, and allow for participation from an audience.
